Glossy, eccentric, luxury, high-class fashion and royalty… The Fashion Awards 2018 brought together in the same place, for a few hours, the most important names in the fashion industry.
The event took place at the Royal Albert Hall, in London and it recognized and celebrated the work of the best designers, models and people involved in the field, for the last past 12 months. The model Alek Wek and the comedian Jack Whitehall where the hosts of the night and they put up an incredible show.
The Designer of The Year was the most awaited category and the trophy went to no one but Pierpaolo Piccioli from Valentino. The nominees for the prestigious gong were Dior Homes, Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Givenchy. Even tough they didn’t get The Designer of the Year trophy, every designer went back home with a prize because all of them won one important category.

The big night was spiced with some very special moments
Kim Jones, Dior Homme creative director was honored with the Trailblazer Award, Miuccia Prada received the Outstanding Achievement Award and Viviene Westwood’s work was recognised with the Swarovski Award for Positive Change. She is the designer that wants to save the world from climate change and financial crash.
At only 17, Kaya Gerber becomes the best model in 2018. She during her speach thanked to her parents, Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber for their support and she said that this was “the first time when she wins a something” in her life.
The surprise of the night was Meghan Markle’s unexpected appearance. No one knew that she is going to be there and that she is going to award her belovd designer Clare Waight Keller from Givenchy. Clare Waight won the British Designer of the Year Womenswear category and she was incredibly excited and happy.
