“Sciò” is born from a dual sentiment we have always felt towards the “mysterious,” the unknown, events, objects, or rituals that may bring good or bad omens. On one hand, there’s a strong attraction to everything in fashion that is used to connect with popular beliefs of luck or misfortune. On the other hand, there is a discomfort, or rather, a fear instilled by the use of these objects, symbols, behaviors, or repeated words – in other words, amulets and talismans – in the world to which we want to belong, the fashion business. We started by carefully analyzing the world of amulets and talismans, emphasizing how our country has always been a fertile ground for them, with Neapolitan culture being its quintessence. We examined how the world of fashion behaves toward this mysterious world in every sense, whether linked to the lives of designers or directly to individual garments, accessories, or colors. After this analysis, we sought to derive our own aesthetics from this world: strong, alluring, innovative, arrogant, provocative, and we conveyed it through various stylings showcased in a fashion film shot in Naples. We chose Naples because Neapolitan culture is the protagonist and the root of this world. Naples is a city of faith, whether religious, superstitious, or related to football.
