#ModicReview: Top 5 trends from NYFW AW2020

01. LOOKING AT 70s

Longchamp, Marc Jacobs, Zaig & Voltaire, Rodarte.

The new collections repeat patterns with a view to the past. Classic, monochromatic cuts, vintage reminiscences and prints. All a must if combined with leather/eco-leather garments, another trend of the season.

02. THE JACKET, AN ESSENTIAL

Michael Kors, Monse, Rag e Bone, Zaig & Voltaire.

One of the garments that takes a strong role is the Blazer and the Tailor Type Jacket. Allowed all imaginable forms: futuristic, unstructured, classic, oversized … The must of the season will be the check prints. Accompanied by high boots (another of the great trends of the season), it creates a minimalist and sophisticated look.

03. THE COAT, A MUST HAVE

Coach, Oscar de la Renta, Gabriela Hearst, Marc Jacobs.

The outer garments take center stage and open their range of possibilities. Trench, maxi coats, striped, with synthetic fur, with embroidered details, bright … all serve to capture all eyes on your look.

04. BRIGHTNESS, COLOUR AND SOPHISTICATION

Carolina Herrera, Brandon Maxwell, Prabal Gurung, Jason Wu.

After muted tones, there is the possibility of playing with volumes, shapes and textures betting on colour. Bright fabrics, maxi volumes, satin, tulle … everything is possible. Lime green and pink are two of the star colours of the colourful season.

Christopher John Rogers, Marc Jacobs, Naeem Khan, Rodarte.
