#ModicReview: Paris Fashion Week AW2020 Highlights – Vol. I
VIVIENNE WESTWOOD
Vivienne’s theatricality appears again on the catwalk presenting its characteristic volumes and mix of fabrics, accentuating the feminine silhouette through the corsetry, where the tulles acquire romantic gifts in contrast to the square prints of more folk and the superposition of garments.
ISSEY MIYAKE
One of the most popular shows of this edition, reflected the creativity of the collection through a performance-show where the boundaries between design and personal unity disappeared. Presented fluids, comfortable and natural garments of soft colors only altered by some brushstrokes of color.
BALMAIN
A retrofuturistic show where the empowered woman looks at the avant-garde and dares with them. The earth tones were the protagonists between layers of natural wool, pieces of leather and vinyl that enhanced the looks, vintage embroidery and very Saharan looks presented a line that will be a must have next season.
YSL
The prestigious house opted for a collection where vinyl and latex become one with women to turn their look into a superlative. Oversize jackets with a 90s cut and silhouettes that evoke the retro style was the super sophisticated presentation of the brand.
