The fashion calendar continues its course and London becomes a target. Even without fully splendor of before the pandemic, the shows with public are back, alternating with digital proposals, leaving aside the live runway, and thus creating a hybrid fashion week. More designers have opted for a return to the live shows, and today we review the highlights of the British runway.

Richard Quinn is one of the most anticipated shows of each season. In its bizarre line, inspired by the utopian fusion of two iconic women in fashion such as Queen Elizabeth II of England and the Fashion Editor in Chief of Vogue USA Anna Wintour. The result? The exaltation of form and concept. Volumes, blurred silhouettes, prints in total looks and touches of latex and BDSM, as female symbols of power and empowerment.
Nensi Dojaka was the winner of the latest LVMH award was one of the most anticipated of the week and her collection did not disappoint. She opted for a collection where feminine elegance comes from a woman who is proud of her silhouette, where the geometric construction of her garments and the lingerie cuts combine in looks full of sensuality.
Simone Rocha is inspired by a popular medieval Irish legend, where a group of children were turned into swans. Under this premise, the collection flowed between romantic and gothic looks, embroidered details with pearls and stones highlighting the beauty of darkness, volumes, voile dresses, bows, gathers, ruffles and lace to give life to this designer’s fantasy.

Erdem was one of the leading brands of the week. Presented a collection inspired by the underworld of the 30’s where a group of women were the first in the forefront. For this reason, the sequins, the embroideries, the natural cuts to the body and the night tones provide a serene and fresh elegance with an air of the non-binary.
Matty Bovan was another of the most experimental collections of the week presenting Cyclone. The exaggerated volumes, the almost disjointed overlaps, and the mixtures of fabric spoke of chaos and destruction in the pandemic era, of youth and punk rebellion and its antagonistic standard-bearer patriotism.
Conner Ives, former student of Central St. Martins, the most prestigious English fashion school in the world, presented his conception of the American archetypes. A very fresh, youthful, carefree and unpretentious collection that dives among the urban tribes of the 90s, remixing the boho style, sport and the KPop universe.
