#ModicReview: 8 Global Trends seen during PFW FW2021
The last stop in the fashion official international calendar was in Paris. The maisons of the city and the invited brands have concluded the parisian Fédération de la Mode calendar, to which we want to say thank you for their fantastic virtual coverage of the shows, something totally necessary in these times of new normality.
At Modic we are once again betting on talent over big names, as well as supporting collections where natural fabrics are used and
are respectful with the animal world.
After reviewing all the collections presented in Paris, today we collect the 8 Global Trends during PFW FW2021 that will flood the social medias, and hopefully soon the streets, returning Fashion to its iconic place.

ICONIC BLACK / WHITE DUO
It’s impossible to talk about trends without the always winning combination of black and white. Sophistication, mystery, elegance, sobriety and even avant-garde can be achieved with this combination, through a mixture of garments, textures and prints. Here is a selection from the collections of Elie Saab, Schiaparelli, Issey Miyake, Valentin Yudashkin & Dice Kayek.
BLAZER IS A MUST
It’s the masterpiece of the looks for the next season. Tweed, edgy cut, masculine or oversized, the jacket has become a wardrobe essential, and design reinvented the tailored made suit. Below, the looks of Schiaparelli, Paco Rabanne, Elie Saab, Nehera & Yohji Yamamoto.
CUTS ARE EVERYTHING
The design takes center stage through a pattern where cuts and deconstructions stand out, turning the garment into a unique design and giving it a touch of sophistication. As a sample, a selection from the collections of Litkovskaya, Issey Miyake, Alexandre Vauthier, Andrew Gn & Kimhekim.
MAKE SIMPLICITY GREAT AGAIN
Naturalness and avant-garde go hand in hand in sober styles and simple lines. Natural materials, fluids, draped … one of the most viral trends of the season. Here is a selection from the collections of Issey Miyake, Jil Sander, Mame Kurogouchi, Courreges & Kimhekim.

DENIM IS FASHIONABLE
Denim is back in the new collection, although we don’t know if he ever really left. Complete looks of urban inspiration from the 90s, denim is back with bombers, jackets and skirts. Here is a selection from the collections of Ottolinger, Schiaparelli, Alexandre Vauthier, Jarel Zhang & Rokh.
MIX OF PRINTS
Paisley, patchwork, floral, avant-garde … All prints are allowed in daring and creative looks; Vivid colors to brighten up the next season. As a sample, a selection from the collections of Patou, Thebe Magugu, Leonard Paris, Marine Serre & Nehera.
TOTAL MONOCOLOR
Enough of not risking with our looks in the next season. Why hide behind dark and sober colors? Monochromatic color floods garments and accessories with straight cuts and highly visual. As example, the looks of Courreges, Patou, Acne Studio, Andrew Gn & Balmain.
VOLUMES ARE ALWAYS TOP
The extravagance is provided through the conceptual study of the volumes applied to dramatic and showy garments. Volumes are applied to sleeves, dresses and details to make the look a winner. Here, the looks of Patou, Vivienne Westwood, Alexandre Vauthier, Uma Wang & Weinsanto.
