FFFACE.ME X FINCH PRESENTED A DIGITALIZED CLOTHING COLLECTION
Giving form to the contemporary aspiration of bridging the virtual universe with the tangible world, the Metamarketing Agency FFFACE.ME teamed up with the clothing label FINCH into creating garments that are literally leading a ‘double life’.
Previously working with brands like Meta, Esquire, Adidas, Harper’s Bazaar and Porsche, FFFACE.ME is an awarded Metamarketing agency creating AR filters, digital apparel, virtual influencers and various Metaverse projects. Established in 2013, inspired by wabi-sabi culture, FINCH is remarked by its cross-disciplinary collaborations, art prints and use of AR tools.
Their limited-edition capsule collection of apparently ‘comfortable basics’ is hiding animating, vibrant artworks behind QR code prints that are easily scanned to allow instant possibilities of content creation. The garments were made in collaboration with 7 international digital artists, including Ines Alpha, muralist Waone Interesni kazki, and Ukrainian designer Snezhana Chernetskaya.
Representing a “fully-fledged fashion statement on how the future wardrobe should look”, the items are promised to even become liable for ‘updates’, alike any digital device, each piece is set to receive an additional AR layer within next year.
ANNAKIKI SHOWED THE SS23 COLLECTION: ‘DIMENSION BREAKER’
For the new SS23 collection, “Dimension Breaker,” designer AnnaYang was inspired by fractal art in British Director Nic Stacey’s documentary, “The Secret Life of Chaos,” which explains the theory of chaos and the study of chaotic dynamic systems behavior. This theory can be compared to the universe’s origin for the ancient Greek philosophers. Chaos does not imply disorder; chaos implies order, and chaos can occur in an ordered process. Chaos theory reveals the essential laws of life and the workings of the universe.
The Swarovski® crystals embellishments, reinterpretations of denim, Space Age influences, and the remodeled versions of the noughties punk girls were among the most prominent motifs of the collection. The fractal inspiration was further highlighted by tree-dimensional tailoring giving form to a series of NFT looks interpreted by digital creatives. The brand’s futuristic DNA was further emphasized by the footwear collaboration with the SCRY laboratory. The ANNAKIKI X SCRY affiliation resulted in the ‘Eternal’ shoe model, which is differentiated by its visionary production utilizing a HALS high-speed printing technology based on SCRY “Digital Embryo” framework.
MÜNN PRESENTED THE SS23 COLLECTION
South Korean brand MÜNN returned to Milan Fashion Week with a new collection of creative deconstructions, reimagining fitting, design and usage through styling and conceptualization. Under the direction of Hyun-Min Han, the brand manages to fall into the lines of both delicate and experimental compositions, using eco-friendly fabrics and emerging as highly contemporary and conscious. The newest collection is inspired by K-Pop culture and by the Gen MZ (the demographic merging Millennials and Gen Z).
The bubblegum pink set composition contrasting the Neoclassical location in which the collection showcase took place harmonized with the playful mix of contemporary and traditional deign codes conveying the looks. The recurrent use of natural, lightweight fabrics, pastel shades and deconstructed formal elements are also among the ingredients encapsulated in MÜNN’s blend of elaborate design and effortless chic.
