You definitely have to take a day of your holiday and spend it in Gozo, a small island close to Malta. You get here by a 25 minute ferry trip and then you should head to the Ramla Bay, which is an orange sand beach. With its clean shallow water and its fine sand everyone will enjoy it. You can also climb the hill above Ramla Bay and get to the Tal Mixta Cave. The view from here is spectacular.

Saint Peter’s Pool is a natural pool beach as its name says and it’s perfect if you are looking for a more adventurous day at the beach. Everything around you is rocky and it has pale green waters that will make you want to do snorkelling.

The Blue Lagoon looks like it has been plucked from the Caribbean with its turquoise water. You can find it on this little island called Comino and it is accessible by boat.
